The Characters

Andy Capp
Fans around the world can relate to this pint-sized British rascal. Whether he's avoiding household chores, shooting a game of pool or playing football, he's got a style (and temper) that's all his own. Andy's an everyday bloke who can, and does, philosophize on just about anything. Unfortunately, his unique brand of "pub" philosophy doesn't always pay off. And it definitely doesn't pay his landlord ... or his bartender!
Flo
Also known as "Pet," Andy's rational yet quick-tempered wife is always by his side to pick him up (sometimes quite literally!) or to show him the error of his ways. With the exception of an equally wicked temper, she's everything that Andy is not ... loyal, hardworking and self-sufficient (with a special penchant for gossip).
Jack the bartender
If there's anyone who spends more time with Andy than his own wife, it's his neighborhood bartender. After decades of serving up cold ones, Jack has heard and seen it all -- most of it from Andy himself. But through it all, the two things you can always count on being open are Jack's ears and Andy's bar tab!
Chalkie and Rube
Andy and Flo's next-door neighbors. Like Andy, Chalkie is always up for a bit of pool or a visit to the pub. While Rube's temper may not be as bad as Flo's, her ear for the latest gossip is every bit as keen.
The Vicar
He always seems to catch Andy while he's doing something that he shouldn't be doing. But then, that's what Andy does best. The Vicar offers Andy a constant reminder to give up his drinking, swearing and woman-chasing. After all, Flo can only nag him so much by herself!
